bottom issues Romeo has had a problem the last couple months. He has a little blood bubble looking thing that pushes out from his anus when he poops. The vet told me to put him on ROyal Canin PRescription Allergy food. I followed her order. ( Although ...I don't agree this is the best food) He is still having the blood bubble. A YT member said it could be a hemmoriod or blood clot. There is very limited info about these problems online. I just realized he has always had an anus that sticks out. Like an outtie belly button. Plus , a history of anal gland problems. The last time we went to the vet they cleaned his anal glands from the inside and there was dry pus. I feel like he has more than an allergy problem and I don't want to ignore something that could be serious. Please if you can help me. I need info to figure out what's going on. |
I have no personal experience with this but thought we had another thread about this subject just a week or two ago. If you question what the vet told you, I'd definitely get a 2nd opinion. It doesn't sound normal to me, and I know I'd be concerned. |
i really think you need to see a specialist or at least another vet. There may be something wrong with his anal gland. pm me if you want information about the hospital i work at |
Since he has had continual Anal Gland problems I would get a second and third opinion if need be. This will @ least but your mind @ ease...Good-Luck...:hands::goodluck: |
Aw, poor guy :(! I agree w/ the others, I think you should follow your gut and get another opinion. It's also possible that extra fiber may help, but that's kind of a long-shot until you know what's going on structurally in the area. |

I would get another opinion. Could it maybe be an anal hernia? |
I'd get a second opionion. Sometimes vets just ignore things that can be important. |

I don't have any knowledge on Romeo's problem, but a second opinion does sound in order. I will say a prayer for your little sweetie. Hugs to you! |
