Can some1 shed some light............. My Yorkie,,, just under a yr old, has these spots (like freckles, but not) on her belly (underside) they are all over , including on her Teets and her "madam" has anyone came across these??? shed some light!? |
My first yorkie had these. My vet said they were caused by hormones. I could scrub them with a wash rag and baby wash but they always came back until I had her spayed |
pics of this..................... 2 Attachment(s) Attachment 262516 Attachment 262517 Some pics, altho you cant really see Anyone else??? ^^thanks to person above......much appreciated |
Can any1 else, shed some light on this , either to verify whats been said, ......or have another opinion is this a vet matter?? |
My Coco has these also. I just think they are freckles. They don't bother him or anything. I wouldn't worry about it. |
I think I've read on here before that it has something to do with urine. I'm not sure... Lilly has them though but not as bad, she just has a few. I always try to wash it really good whenever I bathe her but I don't scrub them or anything. |
Is this something new or has she always had these? I have not personally seen this before, I'd ask my vet...if nothing else for reassurance. Hope it's nothing to worry about. |
A couple of my girls have these, I think they have to do with not being spayed (hormones)...as someone said above. I think I read it somewhere on here...I can't remember where... |
Thanks all for you replies, i think ill take your word about hormones (as i thought that to start off with < cus they only came after she had her first season!) But ill also mention them to the vet , next time were there for a check up!! And post on here what she has to say (if anything!!) thanks again!!! |
good luck! I'm sure it will be something that isn't serious. Welcome to YT, by the way! |
I was told it was from urine, and it would wash off. And what Bella had did wash off. Never heard that it was from hormones. |
I was told it was from urine, and it would wash off. And what Bella had did wash off. Never heard that it was from hormones. But, come to think of it, my males never had those. |
it is from urine, keep it cleaner and they will disapear. more common on girls than boys. if you have access to iodine you can use some after you clean up, but leaves a stain until next bath. peroxide is also a good idea, but remember to wipe it clean afterwords. |
My Coco is a neutered male and he has them. Can't wash them off I think his are freckles :scratchhe |
Hormones do funny things, huh? Well, I've always had neutered males...maybe that's why I've never seen them. Urine stains? Or something in the urine...maybe hormone related? Interesting... |
