Shivering and was panting I went out of town Wed and Thursday and my neighbor took care of her. My dad got home before me on Friday and said Rosie was feeling well. She was hyper and very playful. Around 11:30 A.M. Sat. Rosie started pacing around, panting, and shivering. Around 4:30 I decided to take her to the emergency vet. The vet said she had an upset stomach and gave her medicine. The vet said her upset stomach was possibly caused by stress. She's still shivering today and has lied around all day. She seems a little better because she's not panting anymore. Anyone's yorkie experience these behaviors before? |
Yorkie experience stress and can get cold easily, my yorkie had a seizure due to stress, the cold and not eating enough. They are fragile babies the smaller they are! :p |
Suzi is 9 months old , and when stressed out has had eposoides of shivering. I pick her up and love her until she feels better. A few days ago, she had poo stuck on her, and she shook. I cleaned her up, trimmed the back of her hind quarters, then bathed her. She felt so much better. I have learned that something is wrong when she shakes like that.... :aimeeyork |
How long could this stress last? I don't know how I'm going to leave her and go to work tomorrow. |
Panting can be from many things. When they are in pain a dog will pant. Dont let this go too long. If she is not any better soon please see your vet. Take Care and keep us informed |

She threw up and had diarrhea. I'm taking her first thing in the morning. I think seeing her regular vet is better than going back to the emergency vet. |

She's feeling much better. The vet gave her meds for her vomiting. |
get some nutrycal and give her a bit 2 times a day, it will help her stomach settles and prevent her from being too weak to eat anything. it may have being just "pancreatites" if she ate something she was not supposed to. Do the nutrycal, it has vitamins and sugar and is good for her liver, it will help her to get back to her normal faster. |
Thanks! I'll remember that for next time:) |
I woke up this morning and discovered she threw up several times on my bed. She acted normal in the morning so I thought nothing of it. My sister came home from work and discovered she threw up 4-5 times. She was also shivering and a little lethargic. She's walking around like normal right now though. I gave her some of the meds her vet gave on Monday and see how she feels tomorrow. If she still feels sick then I'll take her in again. I wonder what's wrong with her:confused: |
Sure has Aiden will do this when there is a storm coming. Runs and jumps in the bathtub. Just sits there panting and shaking. Drives you crazy because they say not to baby them. |
