Need help Hello! This is the first time i have posted on here. I have no idea where to turn too! My poor 1 1/2yr old Luna has a liver shunt, and she needs to have that expensive surgery. At this point we can not pay for it, because we just had a baby and we have to move in a few months overseas. We love her so much and we just don't know what to do. We thought that maybe a friend was going to take her,but now she can not. I don't have the heart to give her to a shelter or back to the breeder. What options do we have? |
I would surrender her to a yorkie rescue. They will get her surgery and eventually rehome her |

I hope you find your answer soon. Poor little Luna. |
This thread has information about financial assistance for vet bills: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sic...vet-bills.html Did you get a health guarantee for genetic conditions from your breeder? Does your contract allow you to rehome your Yorkie or must she go back to her breeder? A rescue group may or may not take your girl. Since they are non-profit, they depend on donations and cannot afford take every sick Yorkie. If you do want to turn her over to rescue, it would be appropriate to offer to make a donation to help with her vet bills. |
Thank you for your help everyone! We are going to try to do what's best for Luna! |
what you also can do is go on petco.com and get your dog insurance. its about $30 a month and cover everything, even surgery. go on the website, your dog needs you and im sure he/she will be devastated if you leave him/her. |

If you want to let a Rescue take care of her operation and find her a wonderful home, I'd call UYR. United Yorkie Rescue. United Yorkie Rescue |
