shaking and trembling Lola is 4 years old and a little under 3 pounds and has NEVER had a problem with shaking or trembling. she has been shaking and trembling randomly for the past couple of weeks. it's been ever since i picked her up from the groomer. it's not emotional because it's not at moments that would be emotional. it's even when she is sleeping on me. the only events that something could have happened are something at the groomer (maybe she picked something up there?), her food changed...could it be a food allergy? and she had chiropractic and i'm wondering if something may be a problem with her spine? any advice? |
What food was she on before (brand and type) and what is she on now? |
Sorry to hear about your baby. They will shake when in pain. I would wonder if the groomer or the chiropractor accidently hurt her back. I hope she feels better soon, you may want to have the vet check her out. |
she was on Evo (the turkey one not the red meat one) for most of her life until recently. a couple of months ago, she began getting nausea and vomiting and diarrhea because the fat content was too high in the Evo so i switched her to Natural Balance sweet potato and fish based on advice i got here and it immediately fixed her stomach problems. she has not had any nausea or diarrhea since but maybe there is some type of nutritional imbalance now that could be causing this? |
thanks, ya, i am taking her to the vet tomorrow. she's totally fine otherwise...playful, eats, goes for walks, high energy...it's weird! |
Have you felt her all over for pain? I would err on the side of safety because this problem isn't going away and take her to the vet. |
yes, i've checked for pain...it's weird because she is playful and running and going for walks and seems fine otherwise. i think she has some sensitivity near her tail on her lower back...maybe when the groomer did her anal glands...i'm so worried. def taking her to the vet tomorrow...it's gotta be the food or her back or something that happened at the groomer. |
thanks! yes....i'm taking her to the vet tomorrow. she's so good otherwise and seems fine in terms of going for walks and playful and energy...just this weird random trembling |
