A little bit worried Just a few mins ago, Odie went pee on the pee pad, then he went pee in the kitchen floor, then peeing while walking into the livingroom. He just started panting real heavy before he pee'd and kept on peeing. He's acting normal and has been all day and all night until a few mins ago. Could that be a sign of a urinary infection? I'm gonna call my vet first thing in the morning, but I'll watch him real close tonight. If anything changes between now and before the vets open up we're heading to the er vet. I think he'll be ok until the vets office opens up in the morning. |
I would definitely go to the vet in the am, has anything changed with his food or treats. Is he drinking and eating ok or drinking more. I hope everything is okay keep us posted. |
He seems to be doing fine now. No more extra peeing or no heavy panting. So, I'm thinking he just really had to go. Sorry I seemed to have over reacted there for a bit. |

He's drinking and eating just fine. His diet and treats haven't changed. Oh shoot! My MIL came over and brought a ham bone with her. She gave it to the "kids" before I could say yes or no. I took it away as soon as she left. Which was a total of 15 mins. Could that have caused him to pee like that? |
Panting for no reason could possibly mean mean or something. Peeing that many time could be a UTI or stones or just one of those things that will only happen once. I'm not sure that a ham bone would cause the urination issue but it could cause other ones. I think if you are worried, he should see the vet. |
I would think that a ham bone would be very salty and maybe he drank a lot of water. Also ham is hard on their tummies and maybe he had a little tummy upset. Hope he is fine today. |
Hmmm, the panting could have meant he was in pain before/during/after peeing. With that much pee at once, I'd take him in - as UTIs can be so painful (and just so that the vet can palpate the whole area). Hope he is a-okay! :) |

Never give your yorkie Pork it cause Pancriatis sorry spelling.... and you better watch him... |
I did take Odie to the vet's this morning for my peace of mind and to be on the safe side of things. After she done her exam and some test, she said he must have had to go pee really bad, because she couldn't find anything wrong. Told me to keep an eye on him through out the night. He's been acting normal all day today. I don't know maybe it was just one of those freaky things that happen. I just know that it scared the crud outta me. |
