With an ALT of 278 and both IDEXX snap BAT numbers being 30, it really concerns me that those BAT numbers may actually both be much higher than what we are seeing. Why do vets even do the snap bat?? Good catch Yorkieluv. The ALT is way too high for any dog. If the BAT was done in house and that is as high as the machine goes, it most definately needs to be redone. Shaking is a sign of hepatic encephalopathy. When things aren't properly filtered by the liver, toxins build up and cause neurological symptoms... Red meat is some of the worst for this because of the ammonia. It would concern me that this happened after Heartgard because that has a beef base. |
