Cyndi - I'll call you tomorrow aft/evening when we get home and hope to hear that Izzy is back in your arms!!!!!!!!! The supplements from Susan should arrive by Monday and I think you'll find that you will see an immediate improvement!!!! Meeting Susan in person was even better than consulting on the phone. I was even more impressed that Dr. Gordon sent me an email yesterday apologizing for not being able to come in and say "hi" as they had 6 critical patients come in the clinic!!!!!!!! Sissy will be on the Probiotic and Vitamineral Green probably for life to ensure her immune system and intestines stay healthy!!!!!!!! So glad we could help you through this and sorry again that I didn't hear my dumb phone ring!!!!!!! |
I hope she comes home soon! |
Oh my......... just reading about Izzy. So sorry that she is feeling so badly. Hope that she recovers and gets to come home SOON! Keep us posted Cyndi, we'll be thinking about you guys! |
Cyndi and Izzy! We love you both, and hope all turns out well! Best of luck, hope to hear good news soon! Lauren, Tbone&Tina |
Oh my gosh....just read the whole thread. Poor darling Izzy. She is good hands though -- sounds like you have a great vet, you're getting Susan Davis on board, and you've been getting all the great advice from the usual wonderful folks :). How scary though. Susan Davis is wonderful - she is who I used way back when Marcel had his issues as a pup (post-giardia digestive issues) -- and I just love her. She is very reassuring and smart and caring. You will get little Izzy on the right track. Give her our hugs and kisses and I hope she comes HOME today!!! |
I hope Izzy come home today!!!!! Still praying!!! |
Just checking in for an Izzy update. I hope she gets to come home today. |
Yeah baby......I just heard that Izzy is home!! :cheer: woohoo....... :yay_jump: Sending lots of hugs and kisses to you both!! :woof:  |
Thanks for the update! I'm sure Cyndi is busy lovin' on Izzy, which is exactly the way it should be. |
Izzy is home!! Wooooot! Izzy is home and is sleeping in my lap as I type!:animal36 Wow what a weekend. I can't thank you all enough for the wonderful support and prayers that came our way. I truly appreciate you all! Well Izzy is on Cerenia 16mg 1/2 tablet a day for 3 days for the vomiting and then Pepcid AC 10mg tabs 1/4 tablet once daily for 3 days. Our vet is so on board with Susan Davis and the diet but for 3 days she really wants Izzy on this prescription diet with 4% fat. That's the issue..to feed her now going forward low-fat..lol..sounds like my diet..low fat; high protein. Then after 3 days on this prescription diet I can gradually put her on the Susan Davis way with fish/veggies/supplements, etc. Also if I give her any treats, etc. I need to watch the fat content as well. She said to keep all foods at 15% or lower if I can. Also on the two tests: SPECcPL was at 300 which is in the grey zone. It says concentration is incresed and patient MAY have pancreatitis. I have to take her back in two weeks for another test to see if her levels have decreased being on this new food. Also the TLI is at 30.5 which indicates normal exocrine pancreatic function. You don't even want to know what the vet bill was..lol..but oh so worth it to get her home and alive and at least now we have a baseline on her numbers. Again thank you all for being here for me and being my rock. :luvu: .I was a basket case the first night but after talking so all of you my fears subsided. :D my :hands: were answered and now I'm :nursing: being nurse to Izzy. |
YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYA- SO happy!!!!! If you are looking for another protein source Susan told us to use Turkey breast- layla LOVES it and is happily not allergic to it like she is to chicken. Also if you are looking for GREAT low fat treats- Get some Diggy Kisses from Paula (diggy4) she makes them low fat especially for Layla and i think that each treat is less than 1% fat- Layla can't get enough of them!!! And they are SUCH a good price- you get like 40 for 5 bucks. Last time I ordered we got 6 batches because they are our main treat now that Layla has pancreatitis too! |
I meant to ask- what supplements does Susan have you using? |
Thank God she is better and home, I am so happy for you both, I will still be praying for the little princess that all is well with her!:) |
