Pancreatitis can be triggered from inflammatory bowel disease as well - dex only vomitted and never had diarhea.
Did they determine the pancreatitis from cpli and tli test as amylase and lipase are not accurate and most accurate test and cost effective is cpli and tli.
You do not want her getting pancreatitis over and over as it can lead to diabetes as the pancreas controls the insulin in the body. Once they have had it once it is so easy to get again so NO TREATS period and you need to have her on a low fat diet. What are you feeding her? also i would recommend no white potato as white potatos are inflammatory and if her intestines inflame it can trigger the pancreas.
It took us a year of off and on hospitalization but dex was back to recovery as we found the culprit potato.
Pancreatitis is usually from high fats but can be from stress or trauma so i know you are going through a break up and the stress of that could affect her so very important to try to keep that more calm even though i know it is really hard right now.
I am so sorry you are going through this and she will be ok but go see her often so she knows you are there for her | Wow.....sorry to hear about little Dexter's issues with pancreatitis. I'm glad that you finally found the culprit....potatoes....I would have never guessed.
I have NEVER fed Trinity human food. She is currently on Eukanuba Yorkshire Terrier mix....but the vet seays we probably need to change that to a low-fat diet immediately. He started that yesterday and she is showing some interest in the food and some signs of improvement this a.m. with her stool stiffening up just a bit.
*Fingers crossed to bring her home soon*:animal-pa
 A lot of good information in your post. Thanks you so much.
Yes, the break-up has been bad, but luckily I am blessed to not show any negative emotion around my little girl. :aimeeyork Quote:
