They ate Chicklets!!!
 
The dogs all got a hold of several packages of Chicklets!!! Should I be worried. I have a feeling the beagle ate most of them. I am concerned about the little ones. I know my beagle has ate gum before. He did okay. I am so worried. They seem fine, what should I watch for?????

As long as it's got NO artificial sweeteners, they should be fine. I believe that Chiclets are made with regular sugar, if I'm not mistaken. Keep a close eye on them and if they seem sick, definitely call a vet. I *think* that they might have a bellyache but they should pass it just fine.

So do they all have minty fresh breath now?:laugh:

actually they are fruity flavored.

Chiclets Fruit Flavored Gum
Ingredients: sugar gum base, glucose syrup, modified food starch, artificial and natural flavoring, corn oil, candella wax, BHT(to maintain freshness) red 40, Yellow 6, yellow 5, blue 2 and blue 1.

Aspartame, and Saccharin, are two artificial sweeteners, and there are many others as well. Artificial flavors are different, this would be something like vanilla or maple flavoring, these can be real or artificial, which is sometimes called imitation. The flavorings are different then the sugars though, and you never want to give artificial sweeteners to dogs. The sugar gum base is real sugar, and the glucose syrup is real sugar.

Thanks for responding so quickly. Now I am not in panic mode anymore. I'll just keep an eye on them.

Xyilotin is mainly in mint gum which also is a bad ingred for dogs but not in fruitty i think your fine!
