Please help, my Jerry ate Tylenol Sinus D/T Today i discovered one pill missing and the pack on the floor. It's daytime tylenol sinus, i believe it contains 500mg. Jerry is fine, acting normal as usual. Anybody had this problem? |
Do you know when he ate it. When one of mine ate a pill that my husband had dropped the vet said to give them hydrogen peroxide and it will make them vomit. |
in the morning, approximately 2-3 hours ago |

That isn't good!! I would have called the Vet. to ask him what you should do. :( |
I agree that it is best the see a vet. The following web page has some info on tylenol poisoning, e.g., symptoms & treatment. Tylenol Poisoning in Dogs and Cats: Canine and Feline Acetaminophen Toxicity |
I would definitely be calling the vet...Acetaminophen (tylenol) is toxic to dogs, and 500 mg sounds like quite a bit for a small yorkie... Acetaminophen Toxicity in Dogs "There is no home care for acetaminophen toxicity. If you suspect that your dog has ingested a toxic amount of acetaminophen, (one pill or more), contact your family veterinarian or local veterinary emergency facility immediately." |
So how is your dog doing? Hope you talk to your vet by now!! |
Any news??? |

Wonder why she never got back on this post?? |
Lordy, I hope NO news is GOOD news. Has anyone heard anything? I am an old ER nurse and Tylenol overdoses were not easy to take care of in humans so I cannot imagine how one of our tiny creatures would do... With any luck, this was a false alarm... Prayers still being sent from us!! |
wow, i hope everything is ok, i'm just now reading this - we should all be careful w/our little ones especially they like to eat/or put everything in their little mouths, i'm constantly watching mb |
Tylenol poisoning in dogs Thank GOD I looked here before giving my already critically ill Little Man Tylenol that the VET TOLD ME TO GIVE!!! I CANNOT believe he did that!! Little Man has been battling 3 serious bacterial infections of the skin- now he is septic - and the vet FINALLY diagnosed it as RED MANGE! He is on Mitaban Dip, Antirobe tablets 2x daily, but the fever still rages on! Just wait till I talk to that vet Friday morning! I am beginning to think he is a quack that has been ripping me off for hundred$$ of dollar$$. Again, Thank GOD for YT and all the good info you have! Now if I can just find a baby aspirin for him! Hubby & I take them as a daily regimine of our heart care. For more info on me and my struggle with Little Man and Red Mange see my thread response from yesterday on the subject. And again I welcome any and all comments - I need the help! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! |
Induce vomiting? Should you perhaps ask your vet if inducing Jerry to vomit will help? ER bills at this time/holiday will be very expensive. |

If Ellie ever got acetametaphen or ibuprofen, I would induce vomiting and call the vet. If too late to induce, she would be at the er vet. It is soooo unsafe yet there are a few vets that say give it. |
