Help....
 
Athena is currently having her first Hypo issue. She is not moving around very well, does not want to eat and has thrown up once. She is not shaking but have her on a heating pad, gave her nutrical and some water to drink, is there anything else I need to do?

she is 13 weeks old wts about 1 lbs.

If nutrical doesn't immediately bring her out of it, she needs to be rusehd to the vet.:( When is the last time she ate?

Not good. She can get dehydraded fast. Do you have Kayro Syrup - if so rub it on her gums. I would also get pedilite and give her that via syringe. I would be putting that into her water everyday too (or even put some Kayro into her water bowl). She needs to be eatting every hour, anything, even Yogurt :(

If your baby doesn't respond within a few minutes of giving the nutri-cal, it's probably something else causing the problems and needs to see a vet.

Mine has had two episodes of hypoglycemia in the last three weeks. My vet said she definitely needs pedialite in her system, especially if she is throwing up her nutrical. Also, if you have a syringe, blend up some of her food with the pedialite and push it down her throat. It was really hard for me to do this, but it worked and she was better within a half hour. Also, I have been feeding her white rice with chicken and since then, her sugar has not dropped. Hope this helps, keep us posted.

thank you all for the advice. she is doing great. the nutrical had her out of it in about 20 minutes. She is back to her old self and doing wonderful but I printed out all the posts here for future ref.. thank you all so very much!

Sorry it took a while to get back on here, I had a client just after i posted and then was on the phone with the breeder following that.
