If you can't find the Nutrical... mix honey and water and give with a syringe.... the idea is to get the sugar level up..... Hope all goes well. |
not eating/vet/nutrical With the first tiny one I had, I had to guard against hypoglycmia all the time. Nutrical 3 x a day and I fed her often..just tiny bits seemed to help. The staring off into space--can also be a sign that she may be going into seizures. Please have the vet check for that. My little one would get stressed, back to the nutrical, but then started to develop seizures and had to be seizure medications later in life. sadielyn |
If you are really worried, don't wait until tomorrow but take her to an all night vet. Hopefully, the nutrical will help. Please keep us updated.:) What size is she? I think the hypoglycemia may be more prevalent in young and/or very small dogs. Have these symptons just started? Have you had her most of her life or did you just get her? Good luck. |
i hope your baby feels better soon |
i agree nutrical will help a lot.....if she isnt drinking you can try putting karo syrup in her water....when bella was really sick i gave her pedialyte through a syringe as much as i could...she also liked the baby food and of course they lovee nutrical....good luck with everything...i will pray for you and your baby!!! |
oh i forgot to say...when bella was sick i went to 3 vets in 2days....i finally found one i thought would give my baby the best care....so if you feel something is wrong, go with your gut |
Guys, this thread is from a long time ago. Good advice if someone else has this problem though. :) |

I completely agree with that...:p I use to have a Pomeranian who was Hypoglycemic and I put a spoon full of sugar in his water every day (as per my vet's instructions) and it kept him from having episodes. The first time I discovered it he was laying in the floor, almost stiff, I thought he was dead. At the vets they gave him sime sugar water and he bounced right back up. Good luck with her!!:p |

Hope your baby is feeling better. Can I please suggest what Marie Loves Gucci suggested? Nutrical and a new vet and some blood tests? Yorkies can be such a treat to own, but so tiny and sometimes so stubborn they won't eat. It sounds as though her digestive track is way off. Praying for your baby. Sadielyn |
