Stung by a bee Ella was outside this morning and she was stung by a bee on her front leg/paw (the bee was on the ground when I saw it, but I didn't see where it got her). She yelped and started running with her leg in the air. I called the vet and am waiting for a return call, but what can I do for her in the meantime? She's walking around, but she's favoring that leg and will hold it in the air when she's still. I looked for the stinger, but I can't see it. |
Put some vicks salve on it. It will help. Hope shes feeling better. |
Update She's running around, acting like normal. The vet said that they don't often see the allergic reaction to bee stings that people suffer from, and to just make sure she was breathing and eating normally. Ella's leg isn't even swollen, so we don't have to use Children's Benadryl. |
Great news!!!!!!!!:clapsmile |
Too late for this now but i was told once that diluted vinegar in water, will take down any bite or sting............. Glad your baby was ok, my harvey chases wasps and bees in our garden - i am dreading him getting stung one day.............. |
That happened to my Ollie once, he came screaming into the house crying so loud. I wouldn't have known what was wrong, but I found the bee in the fur on his leg. It's frightening. Glad your baby is ok. |
Aww Im glad your baby is ok. Sam got stung once when he was a baby. I was in full fledge panic mode but he was fine. The vet told me I needed to breathe and calm down:rolleyes: He got benadryl and I put some frozen veggies wrapped in a towel on him. |
