She did go to the vet they said she had a bug ...gave her medication and it didnt go away till I gave her Immodium. I went back to feeding her wet food and it came back so no wet food just dry but I can tell she is hungry |
Thanks for the list I did come across it but I still do not know which one to purchase |
How old is Molly? How big is she? It is very important that she is drinking water too. Molly needs a higher quality dry kibble. I'd also be in contact with the vet. I hope Molly starts feeling better. |

You can feed Molly some canned pumpkin (pure pumpkin, not the pumpkin pie mix), mashed potatoes, boiled chicken and rice...any one of those things to see if it settles her stomach. Is she drinking? Make sure she stays hydrated and her gums stay pink. If her gums start getting pale, give her a bit of kayro syrup to bring her sugar levels back up. I wish you the best w/ your baby. |

Solid Gold Wee Bits seems to be yummy to our little ones. I know mine love it and others have said theirs do too and it's a good quality food. You'll have to buy them at a doggy boutique or vet and pet supply store. Canidae is easy enough to find, solid gold, not so much. I think you have to find a supplier for that one. |

Molly is 6yrs old she weighs about 4lbs. She has always had a sensitive stomach I want her to have a better quality food |
Thanks i will give it a try I am beside myself with this its too long now |
Hello and welcome to YT! Petco now sells a wide variety of premium foods. A good quality food is very important for yorkies and any one from the list would be good to try. If you look for a simple ingredient or allergy food that might help as well. I feel just switched from Nutro to Natural Balance Venison and Sweet potato kibble but they also have canned foods available. |

She has been tested and they say its negative for parasites! |
Otis had an episode of pancreatitis and wasn't digesting his food. I knew his belly was upset so I gave him chicken and rice. He vomited 15 minutes later and it was still chicken and rice, looked exactly the same. He cannot have people food AT ALL, or his belly acts up. I'd say probably best to go back to the vet. I'd worry about dehydration. Poor baby, I wish you the best. |
i'd like to suggest taking her back to the vet and getting to the bottom of this. Something has to be causing her symtoms. I hope molly can feel better soon. :aimeeyork |
I agree no people food, I gave her pumpkin, cooked the chicken and rice as well It seems the only thing that she has no problem with is the Pedigree small bites I just feel awful to give her this ONLY! but if this is all she can keep down and no poop issues I have really no choice....She has been good for 2 whole days now |
I am curious as to what canned Pedigree you were giving her. I feed mine dry Canidae and sometimes dry Chicken Soup Puppy but I always add a little canned Pedigree chopped chicken and my dogs always have very firm stools. In the past when it have tried anything with beef in it they would get loose stools. I would recommend changing her dry food to a quality food. Pedigree dry foods are primarily grain based and your girl probably feels like she is starving because she is not getting enough quality protein. You might also consider adding a probiotic supplement to her food to aid her digestion. You could also add some chopped hard boiled egg and steamed vegetables like squash, broccoli or green beans to her dry food. |

As I stated before I would take her back to the vet or at the very least call them and tell them that she's still having problems...if they do start back up...I see that you said she's had two good days :) That's great! It sounds like you're trying everything possible, but if she gets sick again, insist that the vet do further testing to get to the bottom of this. I wish you and your baby all the best. Oh and also good to know that Solid Gold can be found elsewhere...I can't find it here in my town. No petco here. |
