Help! My puppy has leg problems

First, I bought a puppy that was ACA, which I never researched on what exactly that was because my other yorkie is AKC. When we went to get him he was with two other boys who were walking around just find and I didn't pay attention to him not moving. I just saw his face and thought I had to have him.
When we brought him home and put him on the floor. He would not move. I just assumed he was depressed but when he did move he drug his hind legs. Another thing, when he actually got up on his hind legs he couldn't even stand a minute without his legs just falling down.

When I hold him up his legs go on each side up in the air like he's almost doing the split. I've touched his legs and they don't feel right. They aren't in place and when he tries to scratch his back or anything on his body his leg is up in the air like a cat's. Which isn't normal.

I called the breeder the next morning and she told me to call her back in couple days to see if he just was still upset and that he needed time to adjust. Well two days later nothing. Same problems and I feel really guilty because I want to keep him but I'm about to attend grad school and I know I couldn't care for a dog that has problems like this one does. The lady told me to bring him to her on monday so she could take him to her vet. This is my concern. I hope she doesn't blame me for any problem he has. Im really worried and don't know what to think. My husband and I are taking him to our vet tomorrow morning and see what happens and then Im planning on telling the breeder that I just have to give him back.

Does anyone have advice? :(

I'm so sorry that your little guy is having this problem :(
I hope your vet is able to tell you what is wrong with him. It could be very serious and require thousands of dollars in surgery. If it were me, I would have the vet diagnose the problem and if it is a serious congenital defect, I would return the puppy to the breeder. I'm sorry I don't really have any experience with these types of issues, but I know some others on YT will know more. I would be worried about taking a replacement from the same litter if this is a genetic problem, but like I said your vet will be able to tell you more.

My yorkie just got diagnosed with this and he was having problems with his legs too. He was all wobbly and had problems walking. My vet put him on an anti-inflammatory and after a few ways it didn't get better. I took him to the neurologist today and he has fluid on the brain. You may just want to check it out... the sooner you diagnose it the better. =) If you have any more questions feel free to message me. I hope your lil baby gets better soon!

Thank You! To everyone who sent me a message back. I went ahead and gave him back and I was really sad about that. Unforunately the more I looked at him, the more I realized he wasn't purebreed. Anyway, I have found someone else that seems to be a great breeder and I think my husband and I may be buying later down the road. It was just a really bad experience and I felt really really guilty about giving him back but I knew that I couldn't afford the medical bills and whatever else that could come up. :(

Although as sad as this was, I think you did the best thing. I can't believe the breeder didn't notice he wasn't walking. She obviously didn't pay too much attention to him. I'm glad you're not going back to that breeder. What was the puppy diagnosed with?
