HELP! Hair loss!! About 2 and a half weeks ago, my yorkie Ozzy had a few cuts on his back. To help them heal, we used a liquid bandage spray, and hydrogen peroxcide. About a week later, the cuts were healed but we started to notice that patches of hair were slowly getting loose, and soon beginning to fall off. Do you guys think that the bandage spray and the peroxcide caused this? Or has something else happened to Ozzy? Sincerely, Jenna PS PLEASE HELP! |
I have no idea, but if I were you I'd take him in for a check in case it gets worse. |
I agree, I would take him in just to be on the safe side! |
Thanks Yeah, i think i may have to do that. Thanks you two who replied! |
They now say not to use hydrogen Peroxide on dog bites. It tends to kill the tissue around the wound. So I would think that is what happened to your little guy. As to whether it is permanent, I don't know. Perhaps the tissue will grow back with hair. Good luck. |
I've always heard hydrogen peroxide was very safe and effective, I've never heard that it will kill tissue and dentists recommend as a mouth wash, so I'm confused about this. What kind of liquid bandage was it, some contain the same stuff as super glue, and that could cause some problems. |
