ah, I am so sorry roxy has to go through this- but she will be better down the road soon!!

we do know one thing- Roxy has a wonderful loving Mom!

I will be praying for her fast healing!!!

My Roxy is home!!
 
:) We just got Roxy home. Thank you so very much for the prayers - I know they made a difference. My son was able to take a day off and go with me - after we dropped Roxy off, he commented that he was surprised at how well I was doing. I was surprised too. God was definitely giving us peace today.

Roxy's surgeon was absolutely wonderful. He has been a vet for 30 years. He said he does about 6 of these a day. He is able to get in and get the job done so the time the patient spends under anesthesia is minimal.

Even though in the long run Roxy will be feeling much better, to say she is pretty miserable today is an understatement. She screams when she moves and looks so scared. She has morphine that we can give her twice a day, starting tonight. We let her eat about 10 pieces of her dog food, and she had no trouble with it, so when she wakes from her nap, we will let her eat a little more.

Thanks again for your prayers and support - it truly made a difference!

Thank you so much. Even with puppy drugs, Roxy is still in quite a bit of pain. This morning I finally got her to eat more than a few pieces of her food, so that was encouraging. I feel like she is making good progress.

Roxy is usually such a live-wire. She loves her living room window. She and I have set up camp on the living room floor (I have now decided that sleeping on the floor is not nearly as comfortable now that I am 45 as it was when I was growing up!) She woke up from her nap and kept looking from her window to me, back to her window, to me....So I finally took her hint and set up a quilt in the window so she could look out and lay down comfortably. Unfortunately that meant I needed to stay right there at the window to make sure she didn't try to move. After about 2-3 minutes she was tired again, so I put her back to bed and she is napping again.

I feel like her little body is doing what it should be doing right now - I am so thankful for that. I appreciate your continued prayers for her recovery. THANK YOU, AGAIN, SO MUCH!!!
