stung by a bee or wasp I think yoyo got stung earlier this afternoon while playing outside in my parents backyard. She has a huge bump on her back close to her behind. She won't let me touch it. I don't know what to do! We don't have any benadryl. Will she be okay without any treatment? |
i have no idea as i am not a vet, but give her a kiss an lick from me and Bailey :) (her head not the bump :p) xxx |
Please take her to a vet as soon as possible. I don't want to scare you but I was watching animal cops one night and there were puppies that got stung by bees and they died. It can be toxic to animals. |
Both my dogs were stung by bees this summer. For some reason, we have had more than the usual amount of honey bees hovering in the grass to get to the clover. With the 1st one we went to the vet who prescribed an anti-inflammatory and benedryl. She told us to get the benedryl capsules, split it in half and then to split the half, in half, so that Millie was only getting 1/4 of the pill. So when the 2nd one got hurt, we did not take her to the vet, just gave her a benedryl as prescribed above. Both dogs did fine the next day. We only gave it to them the one time, each. |
Hope Yoyo is ok today. Benydryl is usually what the vet would have you do. |
i'd call the vet and i'd put ice on her behind area to bring the swelling down. i would go GET benedryl (liquid children's) to help her with the burning and itching. |
Kisses for Yoyo from us also, Hope she is feeling better! |
