abbey lee | 07-26-2008 02:34 PM | HELP!! Can spaying cause incontinence?? Abbey got spayed yesterday and she is at home recovering and she is doing very well. Today she has been pretty much back to herself. But we had a very rough night last night. The problem is: she has been peeing everywhere. Yesterday she barely ate and didn't drink a thing. I still took her out frequently and she would sniff around but no pee. Well last night, I'm lying in bed. It's 3am, and I reach down to check on her (she sleeps in bed with me) and I feel wetness. Of course, I FREAK OUT bc I think it's blood or that her wound opened or something. But, no, it was pee. And it was the MOST pee I have ever seen her produce. I have a queen sized bed and I'm telling you, the spot covered half the bed. And it was puddled up. So I figured she was hurting and just really had to go. I changed the sheets and we went back to be no problem.
Well then, today I took her out and she peed outside one. Then we came inside and she had a little food and water and then my ex came over to visit her. Well when she saw him she peed all over. She has NEVER done this. But I was like, oh well, she was excited. Well then just now we are sitting on the couch and I got up to get something and I came back and SHE IS PEEING ON THE COUCH. Ughhh. She has never ever done something like this. She always pees outside. And not only is she peeing on the carpet, but on the furniture too? Could this be from her spay? I don't know what to do and of course I don't yell at her or reprimand her. What should I do, call the vet?? |
