PLEASE HELP ASAP!!! need to sleep, i have work in a few hours!!! |
Wow I dont know, could it be some kind of lice? I would keep him out of that room until you can get rid of what ever they are. |
dont worry too much about it.. if he got one flea it could be from outside.. or one could have gotten in through a window or door somehow.. if you checked everywhere and you are treating the carpet.. then dont worry about it im sure everything will be fine.. just continue checking chewy daily to make sure theres none coming back! |
maybe they are ticks? |
Oh my ... I don't know what to tell you .... |
Could the bugs in the kitchen be fruit flies or gnats? They come out of seemingly nowhere in the summer. You can protect your Yorkie from fleas and flea eggs by using sentinel. It's a combination heartworm & flea treatment. Supposedly fleas can still land on the dog, but they can't lay eggs because the drug causes them to become sterile. And the heartworm preventative protects them from round worms also. Good Luck in your war against fleas! |
They could be sugar bugs, we have had those bad this summer. They just look like tiny little moving dots. I always make fun of my BF for squishing invisible bugs, lol. I'd call your apt complex to see if they will come spray your apt. |

I think I know what kind of bugs you're seeing - they could be weebles. They get into flour products- pasta etc in the summer - have you checked your pantry ? Fleas are not slow and don't hang out in the kitchen - but these little invaders do - I'd do a cleaning of your pantry and check ALL the food - that may solve your problem (I know this cause I had then due to some spagetti boxes I had - I threw it all out - cleaned, sprayed my pantry - and haven't seen one since) |
Sounds like weebles to me too. It's really very hard to find fleas. They are fast and hide well due to their size. You can even bring them in on your clothes if you had been out in the grass. Roxie kept scratching and I couldn't find fleas or flea dirt on her but in the county park up the road from me a dog had gotten Rocky Mountain Spotted fever from a tick. That did it for me, I immediately applied Advantyx on her and she even seems to be scratching less. Better safe then sorry. Summer time is the time for bugs, might as well protect our babies as much as possible. |
I agree with the others on here. Those bugs you are describing get in your sugar, oatmeal, flour, etc. Fleas wouldn't be there and they're not slow at all. Fleas feed off of live hosts (your dog, pets, etc.) I don't know how you guys feel about those topical liquids. I use them on Sammy in the summer since he's outside with me a lot. It takes care of the problem. A good vacumming should help with the rug, unless you have tons of them and keep him off of it. Fleas are very quick and hard to see on his fur and probably on everythign else you have. THey are almost impossible to see on Sammy cause his hair is still black. I wouldn't worry, but I don;t let Sammy get on my bed or pillows and I wash his EVERYTHING in hot water in the washing machine when I have found fleas on him. |
Could they be carpet beetles? Here is a link with some pics of them Carpet Beetles |
ewww!! I looked at the link for those carpet beetles..another good reason I'd like to rip out all carpet in my house. |
Okay, I think I hit all your posts about this, maybe we could condense it to one? Please tell me this wasn't you guys. :D Man blows up apartment spraying for bugs - Weird news - MSNBC.com |
