Up Date On Sandy We are home from the E-Vet. I called them and they said to bring her right in. So I grabbed her and away we went. To make a long story short..shorter... The incission looked good, heartbeat and everything is good.. but she was in pain. They gave her a pain shot and some different pain med by mouth. I will give her one of them twice a day and the other one in the evening. She is finally resting. I am so glad. The emergency vet was thinking of keeping her all night to make sure she was doing well. Or he could give me meds.. and let me watch her.. I told him that if he wanted to keep her... that was ok... but I was NOT LEAVING her. He decided to send the meds home.. and I will keep in touch. Just wanted to let you all know. |
glad she is getting some rrest Now you can rest too!:) |

Well I am sure glad I see an update and she got pain meds.. wow.. I think this is so cruel not to give pain meds.. the vet I have used in florida give pain meds before they come to.. and sends some home.. I am shocked they do not.. and I sure would say.no meds after.. your not doing the surgery..anne |
I am so happy it worked out well and you baby is finally comfortable. |
Buprenex 2x''s Meloxicam in the evening These are the two pain meds that the emergency vet gave me. He was thinking about keeping her for observation and I told him that was fine but I was staying too. He decided to give her pain med and a pain shot and letting me take her home. He thought I would do a great job of watching her, so it would be ok to let her go home. After everything kicked in.. she finally started to rest. She did well through the night and she ate a tiny bit this morning. So that is good. I gave her the pain med this morning and she is now resting on my lap. So things are getting better. Thank you so much for all of your thoughts and prayers.. you'll never know how much they mean to me. Sandy has enjoyed all of the kisses and hugs from each of you, too. Love you guys, Bobbi |
That's great news - I'm so glad you found someone and i hope she feels better today :):):) |
Im sorry that Sandy was feeling so bad. They sent me home with pain meds for Brooklyn. I only needed them for the one day and then she was good as new. Hopefully Sandy will have a good day today.:D |
I`m so glad the meds. eased her pain. I just can`t stand seeing them in pain, you feel so helpless. Maybe she`ll be fine now. This is Darlas second day after spaying, so I know where you`re coming from!!!! I just keep thinking tomorrow will be much better for her. |
She ate a wee bit this morning and had her pain meds. She is now sleeping... which is great. That is the best way to heal. The onesie's Marlin bought for her are working well. She can not get to her incision to lick it. THANK YOU for suggesting them. She is so cute in them.. Of course she is cute anyway. ha ha. But these work so well. She weighs 5lbs 11 1/2oz. and the newborn fit her really well. My boys aren't liking life very much.. I won't let them near her.. they are too excited that she is back. But they get lots of love and attention too.. so they will survive. Sorry I wasn't on here more.. but she needed me.. and that is where my priorities needed to be. Thank you for all of the concern and love you have shown. You guys are wonderful. I knew you were before... but now I KNOW you are. Does that make sense? Love you guys, Bobbi |
What wonderful news to hear she's feeling better and resting comfortably! So glad you trusted your instincts and took her to the E-Vet for some meds. |

I am so thankful that little Sandy got relief and will soon be feeling better. I'm sorry I told you it would be a breeze ... I was just lucky with Toto I suppose. Toto's vet always says, "there is no medicine like Mom's lap". Please give that sweet baby hugs for us.:animal-pa |
Great news. I hope she will now have a swift recovery. Thank goodness Bella didnt have any pain with her spay because her doc didnt give her any meds either. That is kinda insensitive. Bella was running and playing the next morning. You never even knew she had it after her anesthesia wore off. We really lucked out. Hugs and kisses to you both:hug: |
