My 11 year old pom has Cushings. She was diagnosed after bloodwork and a special ACTH test and ultrasound. Her symptoms were hair loss, skin sores, pot belly, excessive hunger and thirst. If it is indeed Cushing's find a real good specialist familiar with it. I had Maya on very toxic medicine that made her so sick and gave her liver failure. So switched specialists and they said she couldn't be treated for the Cushing's as the liver disease was more life threatening. She is now off the liver medicine and her bloodowrk looks better but now she has heart failure that's being treated. So my advice would be make sure you get a good vet and get a definate dianosis before proceeding with treatment. Good luck |

What type of shaking? Does she shake when her head is down and in a resting position. I am sending this link just as an FYI and not to make you worry. Westie Health Concerns - White Shakers Syndrome Many vets are not aware of White Shaker Syndrome. I had a Maltese that had this. Yorkies could also have this issue. |
the vet doesn't seem to have any answers..i am thinking about changing vet. |
