rough play bleeding gums I was just outside with my Yorkie(he's a 13lber so he's not tiny) and I was basically wavying his duck toy at him and he jumped up and grabbed it but when my hand waved it was like it snagged and then he wouldn't play and he kept acting like he was eating something and licking and so I looked and his gums are bleeding i instantly took him inside and gave him some water and he drank it and he's stopp constantly licking but should I take him to the vet? He even ate his food. |
I don't quite understand what you are saying. Your hand snagged on what? Perhaps, when jumping up, he banged his tooth on your hand making the blood. I would check his mouth. If the bleeding stopped and he's ok now I would think that is what happened. Or if your wearing a ring he could have gotten a cut from it when jumping up and pulling the toy from you hand. |

How old is he? Teething puppies sometimes have bleeding gums. Could that be it? |

Does he still have baby teeth? |

He's 13lbs at 7months! I need to see a picture of your Teapot. I bet he's a love. I have a Teapot as well but your's is going to be even bigger I think. Bud's 16lbs. LOL You must join our Teapot Club. Yorkies who are above the standard 7lbs. |
Gizmo's a member now (unofficially) he's 8 lbs at 16 months. :D |
Gizmo was neutered at six months and they had to remove 5 remaining baby teeth, so that might be what's going on. |
