Kammie is not feeling well I'm not sure what is going on with her. Last night she threw up 2 times right before bed. Just a foamy type stuff. This morning she ate her food fine and drank some water. But throughout the day she has not been drinking as much as normal, and it's a hot muggy day. Her gums look fine though. She has thrown up 4 more times today, but no food was in it, just the foamy stuff. Her eyes look kind of "sick" to me and she is not as active as normal. Can our babies just have yucky days and not feel well? We go in tomorrow night for her 2nd part of the Bordatella and to bring in a fecal sample just to get checked since we didn't on the last time. We gave her the Frontline and Iverheart plus on the 1st and the 3rd of June. That has been the only new things she has had. But as I said that was over 3 weeks ago. She is just a little "slower" and "grouchier" than normal is how I would describe her today. Walking straight and all that. One of my DH Beagles just had pups yesterday and I thought that when she kept going to the window and barking excessivly and growing that maybe she could sense it or something and it was bothering her. But then she started the vomiting. Any thoughts anyone? |

I hope it's just the heat and she gets to feeling better soon. Wish I could help. |
I would just keep an eye on her feed her something mild like chicken and rice. If t continues she may need to see a vet but mine have had off days where they have vomited also |

How hot does it get for you? |
Thanks for your replies :) Quote:
Thanks for your advice :) Sammiz' yes it gets pretty hot here too. Like today it was 87 but the humidity was horrible :( About 2 weeks ago it was almost 100 for 5 days straight, that was really bad. Our ac needs recharged so in the house it was average 87. Talk about feeling miserable!! I noticed quite a few of our furbabies have been vomiting lately??? Maybe it is just the heat of summer coming on and they are not used to it:confused: |
I hope she is better now. |
I really have no answers for you except your pup probably should see the vet if this is still going on. She should not receive any vaccines whatsoever if she is still not feeling well. |
So...how is she doing now? Better, I am hoping. Would love to have an update on her. |
Yes, Kammie is feeling all better :) I took her in for her appt and all is well. No temp, fecal sample looked fine, nothing nasty living in her, lol! ;) He said she must have just a had a sour tummy and the heat played a factor probably too. She had her 2nd part of her Bordatella vaccine. Vet said to bring her back in a year for a check-up and do not hesitate to call for anything! So sorry we didn't update sooner, I thought I had, but must have been thinking of the couple of pm's we updated to. :) Thanks for the replies and well thoughts :) :) |

:aimeeyork So glad Kammie is feeling better. I was thinking that it had something to do with the heat as well . Make sure she is dring pleny of water. Suzi woke up one morning and was vomiting. It happened just once, yet it scared me. :aimeeyork |
Sorryto hear your little yorkie is not feeling so good. I have a little yorkie Tina who has an "Acid Stomach" Every once in a while she will vomit bile, the yellow stuff and act dumpy and not herself. She doesn,t want to play or be bothered. Basically she wants to be left alone. She usually gets over this within a day or two. The vet said it is not uncommon in small dogs, especially if they are 5 lbs or less to have this condition. I have an anti-nausea med. for her and I can also give her pepto-bismol. I would ask your vet before giving your little baby anything, but it helps Tina. Hope this helps. :animal-pa |
