Hi,sorry to hear your baby is sick cause just recently our Spanky was sick and the vet gave him a pill to take twice a day and I almost went nuts.He was totally different acting & also the excessive thirst and excessive urinating and alot of it when he did,he got to where he started this shake like tremor constantly.I was about to loose my mind I couldnt figure out why he was behaving in such a way.I did a lil research on the med & it had a steroid in it.I gave the pills to him for the length of time the website stated to use it instead of how long the vet had told me (until they were all gone)which was a couple of days sooner. After it was out of his system (a day or two)he was back to the Spanky doodle than I knew.Long story I know ,but to sum it up do a lil research on the med and go with your gut instinct(it's usually right you know) hope this helps. Sorry So Long ;) |
I woke up this morning and thought of a website that might give you some info- it has me through the years. I'm in a hurry so I can't go through it but I'll give it to you just in case you haven't done research on it already. You can trust it, it was complied by the Yorkshire Terrier Club of America. Welcome to YT and Good Luck. http://www.rievaulx.org/health.html |
"I give my baby Synflex( a liquid glucosamine supplement) ,but I have heard good things about Cosequin. Is this better?" I am not familiar with Synflex. But there are so many of these joint products on the market these days. I remember when Cosequin was one of the first. If you are not seeing any relief from these I would talk to my vet about Adequan . I have seen near miracles occur with Adequan and horses. I can only suggest that if you are not seeing enough of an improvement with what you have been doing I would start looking now at other options. With most of the feed thru products, (if you are thinking of changing product) you generally have a week to 2 weeks loading dose time. |
And, if you and your vet decide to try Cosequin, the best on-line price I've found is at petsnmore.com Good luck. |
