chair fell on my 2 pd yorkie I need some advice if anyone else has had this type of injury to their baby. Yesterday we were moving things around in our house and my husband accidentally knocked over a chair and it fell on our Roxi. Neither of us saw where it hit her but of course she cried and ran off. She is nor tender anywhere but has a croup type cough when she gets excited. Our vet seems to think she has a contusion on her lungs and it will just take time to heal. She is eating and drinking fine but still shakes a little from the trauma. Please let me know if anyone has had a simular type of injury. |
sorry i have not. But i want to send well wishes to Baby Roxi and hope she feels all better soon! |
We haven't had that type of injury either but I just wanted you to know that I'm praying that everything turns out ok for Roxi. |
Poor baby, I will keep her in my prayers to feel better soon. |
Did your Vet take xrays? If they did not I might wan't to take him for a second opinion to someone that will xreay just to make sure. |
I agree with your vet,,... most likelly she had a minor internal injury ... an xray may help but this tiny they will not have much to do besides wait untill she heals.... If she had internal bleeding or something that bad they would have noticed... I would make sure to watch for signs of getting worse or not... if she is getting better and better that is good... if not then go back to the vets... PS.: Puppies recover fast, you should see improvements withing days, i mean, a day is already a noticeably improvement , they also decline fast... so if things get worse get going.... |
Oh No! Poor Baby.. I Hope She Feels Better. I Would Sugest That You Keep On Eye On Her And Everything That You See With Her Health Talked To Your Vet Sometimes Minor Details Can Help To Diagnose Something. Or Like They Previusly Said An X-ray Might Be A Good Idea But If The Vet Didnt Suggested Maybe Its Not Needed. I Hope Everything Turns Out For The Best. |
There is still a chance she wasn't hit by the chair, but was terribly traumatized. I hope she's on the mend and doesn't have chair phobia's now. Bless her. |
