Has A Tick!!!! Please Help!! My yorkiebaby has a tick, he must have got it this time yesterday.Its on his neck,i'm glad i noticed while petting him. Can he get sick because of this? My step dad is going to remove it today in a few hours...is that the right course of action? |

I wouldn't wait a few hours to remove the tick. The longer they are attached the more chance of transmitting disease |

yes my when my step dad got home he took a match and would light it and then blow it out and burn its butt and it wiggled its way out. I think chewy is fine, but how do i know? this is the end of that right? |
The best way to remove a tick is with the Tick Twister. Most ways of removing them allow the tick to release toxins into the dog's body. The Tick Twister is what Ellie's vet recommends. |
