Maybe ONE DAY I will be able to stop posting in this section.... EARS this time Ok guys - don't freak out...it's nothing TOO terribly serious this time (thank God)...but I do kind of need help ASAP about Tate's ear. She has been fine all day, and then tonight about 20-30 minutes after we were back home from taking them on their walk, Tatum started going crazy with itching the inside of her left ear. Mind you, it is ONLY her left ear. She has itched it so bad that it started bleeding a little bit :( I am going to take her to the vet tomorrow...God, I might as well just MOVE IN up there  - but in the meantime, is there ANYTHING I can do to soothe her little ear and keep her from itching it? I just don't want it to start bleeding anymore than it already is. I have no idea what this could be...but for right now I am only concerned about soothing it and trying to find a way to get her to stop itching it, and to make it quit itching all together. We'll find out (hopefully) the cause tomorrow when we go to the vet. I am going to try and get her to sleep, that way she will leave it alone but just incase I can't get her to sleep does anyone know what I can do to help her??? :( |
Did you try wiping it out with a gentle cleanser or something? Do you see anything that may have gotten in there? Tick? Poor baby. |
I'm sorry :( Poor Tatum. Maybe it is ear mites or a yeast infection?? I hope it feels better soon. I'd try cleaning it out too to see if that helps some |
Paxton says "if he was there he would give her a little kiss" ;) Hope your little puddin feels better! |

I do want to wipe it out...but I'm not sure what to use? Since it is bleeding a little, I don't want to burn her :( I just don't know what I should use on it. I do have ear cleaning solution, but do you think that would be too harsh and sting?? |

Awwww...poor little Tatum! My vet told me I could use rubbing alcohol on their ears, but that would hurt where she has scratched herself. Maddie and Libby have both had yeast infections in their ears and I got drops from the vet and I swear they were better after the first drops. They quit scratching. Get well kisses to little Tatum!!! Hugs to you! |
I hope she is feeling better. Maybe a but flew in there. We've got a ton of gnats flying all over the yard. |
I would use some ear cleanser on a cotton ball, and wipe her little ear... If you have a cone, maybe put it on her so that she doesn't do anymore damage to her ear... Or she'll be scratching all night... Hope :aimeeyorkTatum gets well soon... |
we had the same problem a couple weeks ago in the left ear. the vet gave us some drops and after the first drop she seemed to be better. we had to do the drops for 7 days. when she started scratching her ear i could not see anything wrong i hope a bug didn't get in the tatum's ear |
