Eye flush solutions??? please help me My Yorkie Raven walked up to me with her eyes shut...ALL OF A SUDDEN!! she would not open them....I comforted her and when she was relaxed I gently tried to open one eye...it was opened half way when I could see redness on the rim of the eye...nothing oozing. the other eye is not so red....What is this?? She seem fine... but wants her eyes closed. She shakes her head and paws at her eyes now. Any suggestions as to an eye wash? or is this a Vet visit in the morning? I am so worried!! nikeann07:confused: |
I would suggest a vet visit. Baby could have a scratched cornea or something. |
Vet visit in the morning. She could have injured her eye or even have a little conjunctivitis starting. |
Try some luke warm water in the mean time. Use a clean sponge and squeeze it out over the eyes. Sheilagh |
Thank you...so much :) The warm water worked ...and I will have her checked out today Nikeann07:animal-pa |

What did the vet say? Sheilagh |
Raven is fine!!! Thank you so much...apparently the warm water flushed away what ever it was...her eyes are not RED ...clear and bright this morning....You saved me a trip to the vet. Just for him to see her would have been $ 40. My guess ...it might have been sand..or an eyelash...but...it must have worked it's way out. (she likes to roll and scratch her back in the sun warm sandy soil) She slept like a rock last night ...I did not...I kept checking her all night...I have to laugh..she is playing with her toys now...and I need a nap.:p So grateful to you, Nikeanne07 |
That's wonderful. Those vet visits are doozies, aren't they?!!!! Try to avoid them if possible. But the question always is: When should I run there as fast as I can with my furbaby? Sometimes I go just so I'm not sorry. |
