He comes home tomorrow! We are so blessed and excited! I will be having a chat with A&M administration you can bet on it because I can not believe we have made 3 trips and it is tonsilitis .. I mean did they never look in his throat? Were they just being extra careful because of his past conditions? Right wrong or indifferent I think they are going to be doing some adjusting because if a dog has tonsilitis that tells me they never PHYSICALLY LOOKED INHIS THROAT WITH A FLASH LIGHT HELLOOOOOO so please pray for me that I have the right words and Godly wisdom to talk to them and hopefully they will consider the fact that they dropped the ball and we can make a fair financial decision!

I have been fearing Bleus life. When I took him in on Tuesday they should have caught this. Everyone is human and there is human error and as I stated they may have treated him etra different due to his past history but considering the source none the less THEY SHOULD HAVE EXAMINED HIS THROAT ON TUESDAY A WEEK AGO AND SAVED ME 2 TRIPS 2 GAS TANKS DAYS OF WORRY AND TEARS AND BLEUS HEALTH! They did biopsy his tonsils to make sure all was ok because there was a strong odor but none the less I think they dropped the ball! Im so happy it is what it is but I think we could have had this figured out on TUESDAY A WEEK AGO not a week later and WORRY YOU CANT TAKE BACK!

Oh thank GOD that found out what was wrong with Bleu Boy!! Is the tonsils infected then or what? I've never heard of a furkid having to have the tonsils out before, but hey, there's a first time for everything. I hope the meds clear it up and he won't have to have surgery, but if it flares up again, I'd request that take them out, he's been through so much already and it can't be good for him to have to keep going through this. Does anyone know the risks to a dog having their tonsils removed? Still sending prayers that he continues to improve. I'm so happy he's ok!! I'd be having a talk with them about adjusting the price as well AND the lack of keeping in contact with you AND the way they dropped the ball. I am so happy for you that your little man is going to be okay. The poor little guy. The doctors did drop the ball and I hope that changes can be made to help with someone elses baby. I am so thankful that Bleu will be okay. This poor little boy has suffered for no reason. I kind of blew my stack eariler to all how upset this made me at A&M. I never would have guessed the lack of examination and waiting way to long to help Bleu. Not to mention what it has done to you.
Thank Heavens you are talking with the administration. Please do not allow them to sugar coat and take a sorry rather off the cuff. Maybe it would be good if you went to talk with them face to face.
When we take Luvy in Sept. I plan to understand guide lines, what they expect, and clearly what I expect. I know they are a very busy teaching college. But come on, a throat is the first thing I would even know to check.
Let us know what A&M has to say for themselves. Do not go down easy for them.

What can I say that hasn't already been said. Can you not see a dogs tonsils by looking in his mouth/throat? Is it common for dewormer to cause this? Just a few questions, I'd like to think maybe we can all learn from this experience. Any insight, anybody? Regardless, I am happy to hear that they do now know what was causing this and that it can be properly treated. Hopefully Bleu will respond well to the medication and that there will be no need for further surgery. Bless you sweet little Bleu boy...Bless you all.

Well, for heaven's sake! Don't you just want to shake people sometimes?!:eek: I'm so happy for you that they've finally found poor little Bleu baby's problem. Bless his sick little heart. I know you are relieved.:) God is good. My sister who is a psychologist always tells me, "Susie go pound a pillow!" So, that's my advice. Go lose your temper on a pillow Vicki!:D

Bo had tonsillitis a few times. Two different vets in different cities(Houston and Denver) noticed it without a flashlight. They just looked down his throat and noticed it right away. I guess normally tonsils are in a crypt on each side of the throat and once they get infected they swell and come out of their crypts. Eventually Bo had his tonsils removed by laser and it was a breeze. But he hasn't been thru what Bleu has. I was also told that the tonsils can grow back!!!!!!!! I am so glad Bleu is doing better now.

Oh its great to hear good news. I am also shocked that they didnt look at Bleu's throat.

I'm so happy that the doctors have discovered the problem and are able to treat it.

I'm sorry for what you have gone through with them. I know it can be very frustrating when they don't listen to you and sometimes you think that they aren't even listening to each other.

I just thank God that things are looking up for you and Bleu and he will soon be home in the loving arms of his family.

I had bad experiences at UC Davis here in CA which is also a veterinary school, I think that you are treated as a number. UC Davis sucked out part of Brooke's brain during a cranial spinal tap that she didn't need!! They did it for their own studies and when she came home she couldn't move or stand or walk!! And they had the gall to charge me $3600!! I hope you give them h*ll!! But I am so relieved for you that your baby will be well and back in your arms soon.:thumbup:
