miu miu is vomiting.. help :( last sunday afternoon, miu miu had her nap. when she woke up, she started vomiting. i brought her to the vet and the doctor discovered that she has worms and treated her with deworming. but until now, she is still weak and started shivering early tonight. i'm really worried about her condition. she drinks liquids but im force feeding her now because she does not want to eat. help pls... im really worried :( how long does deworming take effect and how do i know that the meds that the vet gave me is working? |
Did you call your vet and tell him the situation ? |
I would take her back to the vet. The can get weak very quickly and she might need electrolytes since she's been vomiting. She might need to be put on an IV until she is stabilized. Good luck. Hope she gets better. |
went to the vet 2x already. last sunday and today. the vet checked on miu miu and she told me that she's improving. the vet also gave me electrolites for her vomiting already but miu miu is here at home with me but she's still weak. she does normal stuff like playing with her sister, pee, drinks her electrolite drink but i still have to force feed her coz she's not eating. im on royal canin recovery diet for miu miu but sometimes she refuses to eat on her own |
Maybe try to get her to eat a bit of chicken just to get something in her? I hope she feels better soon... |
i'll try that tom. thnx. boiled chicken? |
My little new fella that recently came to us wouldn't eat either... took him to the vet and he suggested that we give him canned chicken, cottage cheese, scrambled.... etc..... Try some of these, maybe it will work for you too! Blessings! |
I would boil chicken breast and white rice, just give small amounts. |
I hope he feels better soon.. |
At this point, it'd probably be best to just give her some mashed, white potatoes - they'll soothe her tummy, absorb any nauseous juices, and will be immediately absorbed as energy since they're simple carbs - and they're usually pretty tasty. You can use fresh potatoes - or just get some canned/sliced from the store and microwave so she can eat asap. :) |
You can give her the clear flavorless Pediatlite ( the childrens drink) My ER vet told me this! The electrolytes will help prevent dehydration! Hope you baby is feeling better soon! |
alright...thanks for all your concerns...hope she'll get better now...wish all the best for your babies too! :aimeeyork :aimeeyork |
definitely try giving her Pedialyte so she does not dehydrate. Also try Nutrical, as it is sweet and they like it. It will help her blood levels. People have given me this advice and it really helped. sending love  |
Did the vet check for pancreatitis? Monday just had a horrid week with that. And yes, she was on IV fluid infusion for 2 days in the hospital. is she pooping okay? No diarrhea? She can dehydrate if she has diarrhea and vomiting. I went the chicken/rice route until she turned her head away. Gave Pedialyte, meds prescribed were Reglan, Amforal, and Cerenia. Now she is on Hills prescription z/d canned and dry. and an antibiotic was prescribed because she is showing signs of IBS. I know what you are going through. I am sending you wishes for a quick recovery. it can be scary! |
Aw, poor little baby. I hope she gets well quickly. |
