soft poos Tucker is having soft poops! He is 7 months old. He eats Chicken Soup for the Puppy Lover's Soul and eats very well. This is not a change of food, he's been on it for about 2 months now. He acts totally normal, running around, drinking plenty of water. I was wondering if teething could cause loose stools? They're fairly solid, just slightly loose. Any ideas? |

wow that's a while... would you call it diarrhea? or just a softer poop? if it is just a softer poop, try giving him some carrot during the day, maybe one baby carrot, obviosuly holding onto it while he chews so he doesn't choke... or some apple- peel off. You want to get fiber in his diet to harden up his poop. I did that when layla had loose poop and it REALLY helped. |
Maybe you can take a sample in to your vet just to make sure it's nothing that needs treatment. Good luck |
Is he teething or anything like that? Bc sometimes teething can cause issues from one end of the tract to the other - just like in human babies. :) Perhaps feed some canned pumpkin and/or yogurt to help the system normalize. |
Okay, its just soft poo not really diarrhea. I'm giving him some yogurt and we'll try the carrots. I think it's just him teething, but if it gets any worse we'll take him to the vet. Thank you for all the replies and advice! |
