Signs of Tracheal Collapse My 8 year old yorkie has had an occasional barking cough for several years. I didn't think anything of it until recently it has been much more persistent. She's having one of these coughing fits (and this is just when I happen to be out there and catch it-could be more often) about everyother day. Does anyone have any impute for what to watch for and what I can do to treat this? I've read on the internet some now, she is not really over weight maybe just slightly so we will work on that. Anything else? |
I would have the vet check it out. They can give some meds if it is bad enough. Stress and activity can cause them to cough more as well as being overweight. I have had several Yorkies with mild CT and they lived a full life. Good luck |
Good advice to see the vet. There is a vid (search) on YT that shows a pup with reverse sneezing. Many times they have hair, etc., in their throat and try to clear it out. CT has a distinct sound, so listen to the video. Warmly, Deborah |
Re: Tc Thank you guys so much for your replys & reasurance. I will have her seen. I also have to say your pups in the pictures are sooooooo adorable! Thanks again, lori |
