shaking a lot i have been noticing that beagan has been shaking more than normal. he usually shakes when he's excited, scared, and when he has to do his business, but now he shakes when i look at him. he's not cold... it's warm here... does anyone know what this is from? |
Maybe neurological...??? If it continues, I'd have some tests run. |
Also, Yorkie's tend to be hypoglycemic; especially if they are low weight and if it has been a while since they have eaten. You can get a sugar gel from your vet; however, I forget the name right now. Just squeeze the tube and they lick the end. It should hold them over to the next meal. |
First bet would be to give him sugar, a tube called nutrical or nutristat at Petsmart. In emergency situations, use Karo syrup, cake frosting etc.. To rule out simple hypoglycemia. If he continues, he needs to be seen by a vet to look for anything else. |
My vet calls it the "yorkie shivers" - it seems to be pretty common amongst yorkies . I hope that this is the case with your baby!! |
