The dog just falls over I went to my neighbors house and she took her dog to the vet because he vomitted bile 2 days ago and ath mucusy diarreah (sp) and then he could barely get up on the bed. i dont know why type of dog he is he is larger though prolly 50lbs? but she helped on the bed and then this morning helped him off and he pretty much fell off the bed. she took him to the vet and his temp was about 100 and they are doing blood work so we dont hear anything until the morning but has anyone heard anything about this? he hasnt gotten into anything or ate anything out of the normal. Please advise |
Good be several things. Tummy upset, neuroglogical. I hope the vet can find out what it is and get him better. |
He could be falling over due to being weak. My Kasey had a stomach virus a few weeks ago, had lots of vomiting & diarrhea and though he didn't fall over he was very weak. At the vet's office they gave him fluids because he had gotten dehydrated and some medicines to help calm his stomach. He stayed at the vet's office all day and they said he was really wobbly. Once the medicines got to working he perked up though. I hope your friend's dog will be okay! |
Hope it's nothing serious. :getwellso to your neighbor's doggie. |
i hope its not serious either, i felt so bad for her. the vet said they think it could be the adrenal gland (sp) but wouldnt something like that come about when he was a pup hes 3 yrs old. |
I hope they are able to diagnos and fix the problem :( |
Whatever it is I hope you don't wear your shoes into your house that you wore at your friends house around your little ones. You could be bringing in the disease (if that is what he has) into your home. |
