i am sooo sorry!!! thanks for posting this tracey!! i am sorry not to update you all but i did not realize she had posted this (although i should have because tracey is so sweet!)...thank you to everyone for your prayers!

it happened just as tracey said...i called her as soon as i found out...i wanted to let her know that miss buffey is A-Okay and to ask what she thought might have happened with bentley...then i started crying :(

anyway, thank GOD that particular vet was the one doing the surgery...she used to be an ER vet and has a lot of experience with toy breeds and yorkies...i asked her if it was a hypoglycemic episode and she said absolutely NOT...he crashed way faster than any hypoglycemic attack she has ever seen in all her years...she said she has NEVER seen anything like it...the office said if she had not been there, no other vet would have been able to start his heart again and bring him back to us ... just typing this i have tears because it was so scary!

yes, it was just from drawing blood :(

she said she is 99% positive it is a heart condition...we will need to do basic cardiac tests once he has recovered and then they will refer us to a specialist...everytime we have appt for vacs, they always listen to their hearts and they always sound healthy!

so right now, i do not have an update other than bentley is okay!! :animal-pa ... he was jumping around this morning as if nothing ever happened :)

i always believed prayers worked and never doubted that...and know i know for sure....thank you everyone! bentley says woof woof!

I am so sorry to hear about the trouble Bentley is going through. I just joined YT today and bought my baby, Layla, on Saturday. I will keep him in our prayers. I found this prayer earlier when I was reading about another Yorkie in need named Bella. I hope this helps you and I will take a moment and pray for Bentley as well:

thank you to everyone for the prayers and thoughts...bentley is doing well! he is not quite as hyper as he was before and i am not quite sure if this is a good or bad thing ... he is still very active but just not crazy like before...i am hoping this is just him growing out of the puppy stage a little bit...but other than that, he is eating well and playing and just all-around happy :)

miss buffey - the little stinker :rolleyes: :D she is GREAT!!! trying to run around all over and beat up on gino and bentley hehe! it is hard to keep her from running all over the place so we mostly keep her on our laps ... i think she is already back to her old self!

again, thank you to everyone! i admit i usually come to YT for "fun" discussions but after everything that happened i realize i need to spend more time on this part of the forum too! all the little ones going through rough times can use all the prayers they can get! because they DO work :D
