NEED ADVICE ASAP: Bella Ate Chocolate Bella just got ahold of some m&m's, I'm not sure how many, so I'm going to give her hydrogen peroxide but have no idea how much to give her. Can anyone help me? she was just a few ounces over 3lbs. I think she's going to be o.k, but since I have no idea how many she ate I'd rather be safe then sorry. |
1/2 teaspoon if she doesnt vomit in 5 minutes do it again.... |
Sorry but I don't know. I'm bumping so that someone who can help will answer. Good luck! |

what kind of chocolate? any idea how much?? if its not bakers chocolate or dark chocolate she will be fine. |
I gave it to her and am waiting for her to throw up, is there anything else I need to do? |
Sorry you have to go through this. My sympathy. Snowboy is 9 mo. old and has already been given peroxide 3 x's. Chocolate, my mom's pills, and a bunch of chicken salad. Cleaning up the chicken salad was the worst ever.   |
While you're waiting, gather up paper towels and some enzyme cleaner---unless you will be taking her outside. You're going to need it. |
When Riley ate chocolate, the vet told me not to let him eat for a few hours. Just make sure he was drinking lots of water. Heres a site that might help you. I know it helped me when Riley ate chocolate. http://pets.robbiehaf.com/chocolate.htm |
I think she's O.K now! Phew! I was eating the m&m's in bed and watching t.v, and had to go to the bathroom, so I put them on the stand next to my bed. I didn't think anything of it because I've left food on there before and she never went for it. When I came out of the bathroom she had a few of them on the bed, but it looked like she only got a couple so I put them all back in the bag (the first time I put them on there I left a couple out of the bag just on the stand) and turned around and she got to them again. I wasn't sure how many she ate so I did the HP just to be safe. I put her in the tub while she was throwing up so it'll be easier to clean. She's vomited like 6 times in a row, and now she's acting fine, THANK GOD! I'm soo glad this form is available...I knew to give her the HP, just no idea of how much. I felt so bad while she was throwing up, like I tortured her :( Thanks for all of your guys's help! You guys are lifesavers, literally! I really appreciate it! Diggy4 thank you for telling me how much to give her! |
