Vaseline Sandwich??? My girlfriend who has a larger dog swears by vaseline sandwiches when her dog has eaten something he shouldn't have and is constipated or blocked. This is done on the recommendation of her vet. She takes a blob of vaseline and puts it on a slice of bread and her dog devours it. She says it works like a charm especially when he has eaten clumping cat litter. Has anyone here ever tried it on their Yorkie? You obviously wouldn't use a whole slice of bread because it would choke the baby but what about a piece of cracker with vaseline? I have known children who got into and ate vaseline with no ill effects other than a good "clean-out". Just curious. |
I've never heard of this... But It would be a great piece of information to keep in mind if we have a problem. Anyone else know? |
Im sorry but I had to laugh it just sounds funny.:yelrotflm |
My vet recommended the same thing to me when Marley swallowed a button. I can't say whether or not it worked because we never found the button. |
Our vet told us to use it for our cat's hairball problem many years ago. We were told to put some on her nose. She would lick it off, and then the hairball would go through rather than come up.:D |
