what great news!! Praying Lucy continues to heal quickly |
Oh! Thank you for concern for Lucy. She seems to be doing great. She can sort of walk, with support, when I take her out to the potty, but the ground is really uneven in my yard. Otherwise, I'm not sure what to expect. She is trying to walk on her own, occassionally, but usually only if something gets her excited. Like if someone comes to the door or if I am returning home. It concerns me that she is trying to walk with her right paw turned under. I have to take her back to the neurologist on Wednesday. I hope they can explain the paw thing. She has been sleeping in the stroller right next to my bed. I was leaving the top open, but the other night while I was asleep, she managed to get over the side and onto the bed. That's where she was sleeping when I woke up. I remembered moving dogs around that were wrestling for position and it scared me to death. I could really hurt her moving her around when I sleep or the other dogs could hurt or she could fall off the bed. I had to start zipping the top shut. I feel so bad about it, because, until now, she has never slept anywhere else but with me. |
I have been following this story and was thrilled to read about Lucy's progress. I am so happy for you both! I know you have so much on your plate right now, and every little victory is huge. Congratulations Lucy! |
Hi all! Lucy is getting around better and better everyday. She got really excited this morning when a neighbor came over. She had been on my lap, so I set her on the floor and she stumbled across the room to greet the neighbor. I don't let her run around all the time, though. Usually she is in my lap or in the playpen. But, I don't have to support her anymore when she goes potty. I set her on the ground and she does her business. It's a little harder for her to move around outside, though, because the ground is so uneven. I have to take her back to see the neurologist Wednesday. I think they will consider this to be good progress |
Thank you God for the answered prayers!:D |
