Shelby - Day 3 Post Surgery Good Morning! Just a small "Shelby update". She had mlp surgery (both legs) on Thursday. She slept like a rock last night. :dogzzz: We let her sleep in her usual place (on the bed between us). She & Seymour do not jump off the bed (they wait for us to put them down) so we really weren't too concerned about her doing that in the middle of the night. She also had her first BM this morning since surgery. That, too, made me much happier. She isn't in any pain, but I think she is frustrated because she can't do her normal "adventure" activities. She did lay on the couch with Seymour this morning and "pawd" at him. What a stinker!!! :animal-pa She is not eating (and drinking) as much as she normally does, but she IS and that is all I expect. I also have given her a little bit of Nutical to supplement what food she is not eating. Today we are going to be couch potatos. I am doing some laundry (Shelby likes to be carried in the laundry basket, so that will be her adventure today)!! Wish her well in her continuing recovery!! Thanks!! |
I'm glad that Shelby is doing so well :) I hope it continues. |
Good job to Shelby and her mom! Keep up the good work. 30 days will be gone before you know it. |
This is great news... I can just see her in the laundry basket how precious! Thank you for the update! Sounds like she is doing well... I love it when they pawww at another .. shows their affection .. too sweet |
Bel a good girl, Shelby and get well slowly. Warmly, Deborah |
I think that riding in the laundry basket sounds like the best medicine ever!!! (Other than kisses of course!) I hope your baby is back to 100% in no time! |
I'm so glad Shelby is doing so well. It is such a relief when they finely have a bowel movement. I bet Shelby is so cute riding in the laundry basket. Thank you so much for this update. |
