Neutering at the six month marker  Ok, Bijour will be neutered as soon as he reaches the 6 months marker which is here in a couple of weeks. Thing is this, not all his premolars are out yet, is this something I should be concerned about? His incissors are all adult and the canines are coming out over the baby ones. But the premolars are not all out, I have found a few here and there. I am just wondering if this is a big issue or not? Scooby was nearly 6 when he was neutered and by then he had already had all his adult teeth. Oh, two of Bijou's bottom canines have already fallen out only the top are doubling. Strange he is only 5.5 and they have come out already. Bandit's own didnt come out until first week in december at 8 months. I had to pull his canines. Any advice on the neutering with the remaining baby teeth will be much appreciated |
Go ahead and neuter him. A lot of pups lose teeth up until around a year old. |

And the neutering does not cause him growing problems in that area? What about the urinating? I heard taht if done before they are fully developed it can acautlly cause them not to become house trained:eek: |

The vet said six months is a good time because he is pretty mature and it wouldn't hinder anything. He doesn't like to do it any earlier than that. House training is about you and your dilligence. Better to do it at the 6 month mark because it's right around that time they start reaching sexual maturity and will start marking and humping. |

Yes, I know, so I have him scheduled in two weeks. If he only knows what mommy has planned:eek: |

I've just had wee Sebo neutered yesterday at 9 months, and the Vet also extracted one of his baby canine teeth, which refused to come out with the rest of them, so if your vet has a look at your pups mouth before the procedure, they can take any teeth out under the same anaesthetic! Sebo was back to himself last night after about 5 or 6 hours, although the lampshade collar is driving him crazy! Hope this helps! |

His aggression towards me has halted for the most part, he KNOWS I am head dog now, I am able tto take what ever I want from him buzt he still does it with Bandit I wonder if if will increase their appetite? I am thinking of neutering Bandit even tho he was to be shown:confused: bandit is not aggressive but he is a poor eater and I wonder if this whole show thing if I am not going to be a breeder is even worth my while or time and money? |

The vet actually provide the CLick collar after the surgery, scooby had it donw a month before he died and he had gotten the collar from the same vet. It drove him near nuts but we will see how this one handles it:eek: |

Hope you little one will soon be back to himself 100%. Yes, the collar will be provided by the vet the same CLick or lampshade, I think they dont like this very much:D  |
