My yorkie diagnosed with Collapsing Trachea My little 8 year old yorkie Rickles has had a sore throat several times and my vet decided to take x-rays and found that he has a collapsing trachea. He said it isn't bad and may never get worse but gave me some predisone and a cough supressing pill to give him when he starts to cough. He doesn't cough very often but this medicine has really helped him. My vet told me not to change his lifestyle at all still take him for his walks, etc. He only coughs sometimes when he gets to excited or something like that. He said Yorkies was a breed that this showed up in. Does anyone else have a yorkie with this problem? I would love to hear from you. Rickles Mom |
I am so sorry to hear about Rickles condition. I know others have had this problem - hopefully someone else can help you. You could do a search here on YT for the condition & you'll find lots of other threads about it. Somehow your thread is under Videos -- hopefully admin can move this to Sick & Injured & more people will see your thread & reply. |
