Vomiting and Diahrrea I took my 14 month old yorkie, Chico, to be groomed on Wednesday. He was perfectly fine, we had taken him there before. He got a puppy cut and looks SO adorable. Anyway, after he came back from the groomer, he vomited a few times. It was yellowish liquid. So, i called teh groomer and asked if she had given him any treats or dog food that may not have agreed with him. SHe said she didn't give him anything. Later on, when he was outside, he pooped and it was very loose and liquidy. He didn't eat his meal that day. (We mixed a little bit of meat with his dog food like we do every night.) The next day, he vomited again. And had that same kind of liquidy poop various times. One time, he even did it inside. Today, he's gone out 3 times and done the same thing. What can I give him? How can I tell if he has a fever? |
I would take him to the vet. Maybe they did give him something at the groomers and they just aren't admiting it to you. |
Your dog needs to see a vet. Diarrhea can cause dehydration and it doesn't seem to be stopping... |
Does Chico get nervous and stressed out going to the groomer? Many dogs when under a lot of stress can exhibit the symptoms he has. You can give him a teaspoon of canned pumpkin for the loose stools and give him a little honey and water to settle his stomach. Did you take him to the vet today? I hope he is doing better. |
Maybe he picked up a bug from another dog at the groomer's. |
that happened yogi this week as well and we took him to the vet, they gave him a cocktail of antibiotics, some purina EV vets diet food and some meds and he is doing great now. id suggest you take yur kid to the vet as soon as possible so he can get to feeling better. Hope this helps |
