Vomitted snot Jambo hacked up some snot. It was cloudy white not yellow? What could this mean? Would this have anything to do with his sometimes hacking/reverse sneezing/honking? |
My girls have done this before too, but not very often, and mostly when they have an empty stomach. I really don't know what it means. I hope someone can help. :) |
Snorting.. ahh yes, Louis had that bad last spring. I used this website and gave him benadryl: http://www.geocities.com/angeljulie2/firstaid.html I took him to the vet before I gave him this, of course, and he said it was fine because it was allergies, it cleared up thereafter. It was scary though because of the hacking and the foamy, sticky thing... Either way it would be a great idea to take him to a vet before you make any attempts on anything, Sometimes just calling the vet and asking the vet tech if it is a common concern now a days for the pups due to the time and season. Hope your baby feels better soon! |
Thanks for the link. I have taken Jambo to the vet for the hacking twice. One vet prescribed cough medicine and the other said I should not be worried and to give it time to clear up on its own. He doesn't do it constantly but after a big drink of water or some excitement. I also noticed he licks his paws constantly then recently, in the middle of the night he was under the covers with me and I heard him hacking and noticed the snot. I told the vet I think he may have allergies but he flat out said no and told me to have chest x-rays done. He is almost 5 months old and every time I have taken him to see the vet, they tell me his is in perfect condition. |

What are you feeding him? That might give some insight to the paw licking. |
Yes, it usually means allergies when they lick their paws. Please never give your yorkie Tylenol ( or any dog for that matter) it is shown to be very harmful and fatal. If they have examined his lungs and he is OK then I'm sure it's not too big of a deal, but definitely needs to be taken care of. Louis had gone through the same exact thing last spring it's identical; however trust your gut and keep researching. Hopefully it's just allergies. Oh and it would be a great idea to do research on the food he eats, just in case. ;) Hope he gets all better soon! :getwellso |
