i would find a vet. They can get really sick so quickly. I have called my vet at home on more than one occasion - always better to be safe. |
what happened - is your baby okay? I hope he's all better soon. |
Any up-dates on the baby?? This is serious business and I hope for a quick recovery.. |

Has anybody heard anything on this baby? |
You need to bring her to a vet. In the meantime, give her pedialite (in childrens section in grocery store). The only thing that matters until you get to a vet is her to stay hydrated. If she keeps on throwing up what she drinks, continue to give her more until you get to the vet. My yorkie is sick right now too and I give her crushed ice mixed with pedialite and she actually likes it. She wouldnt drink the pedialite by itself and I know she likes ice-so we turned it into a pedialite snowcone. Good luck to you and hang in there until you get to a vet! |
Has anyone heard about Dakota yet. What I read sounded serious so we are worried and wanted to be updated on this situation. Our prayers are with Dakota. Hoping for a speedy recovery. |
i am also checking daily for update. Our prayers are with Dakota |
Urgent PLEASE RUSH your yorkie to the hospital. There has to be an emergency number on some vet's answering machine where you are! I lost mine on the 4th to acute pancratitus because we did not catch it in time and my other one spent 2 days in ICU on the 10th...Thank GOD she is home now!!!! PLEASE RUSH HER to a hospital!! I sent you PM's earlier and did not hear anything! Please let us know as everyone is watching your thread! Do not take a chance on giving her ANY people medicine. NO people food!!!!! |
I have 2 yorkies and my smallest one (11 moa old) is prone to pancreatis (sp). This sounds like the same symptom as my Livvie has when she has a flare up. The vet told me not to force her to eat because it will cause her to throw up. At most, keep her hydrated by letting her lick ice. This way she will stay hydrated without drinking too much at one time. It usually takes a few days (2 or 3) to start to get to normal. Hope this helps! |
I am very happy to say that Dakota is now doing fine. Unaware to us our son had two macademia cookies left on the downstairs coffee table and did not know that Dakota was able to go downstairs. This is the latest accomplishment. Our son was devasted to know the next day that she had been sick all night and remembered the cookies that he left out. Needless to say that our downstairs is now puppy proof as it is upstairs. Anyway thank you all for your conern. It was helpful to me knowing that there are others out there with good advice. Thanks. :animal-sm |
I am so glad Dakota is all better. Harley send puppy kisses. I know we were all worried. harley's mom |

Saturday I was at a block party and a 5 year old fed Stewie a Macadamia nut cookie while I was in the bathroom. My friend was supposed to be watching him and wasn't doing a very good job. I pulled it away from him when I came back. Nothing happened, but I guess I am lucky! Stewie's lucky, too! |

Gucci had ingested some hairdye.. well I thought she did.. I called the vets office and they gave me a number to animal poison control. Call the operator and see if they will connect you to that number in your area. There was a $50.00 charge card fee. Just a suggestion if you don't want to wait until the morning... Gina |
