HELP, what to do !!!!!!! My dogs all got the poops and had them a couple of days.  Like a bug or something. My one girl still has soft stool and there is always mucus with it. She never ever did anything in her cage at night, but now she is pooping every night there. what a mess.  Now there is this mucus that I have never seen before. My husband has gone to get yogart, and I am not sure how much to give her. She is not acting like she is sick, she is playing and running around, eating..except she is pooping more and it is softer then it should be. If you can help me with suggestions, please do. thanks pooh's mum |
As she eaten anything new? New treats, new food? Maybe swalled something left out... Thats what I think of when something like that happens... Wish I could be more help... |
I gave her a few yorkie yummie's to try. But she is use to eating benny bullies which is a live treat. I keep the house pretty much baby proof. Did have a friend over a week ago, and she has two grandkids, that do not listen at all. :( :( it was the next day, my dogs had to poop's. but the youngest one is the one that has the mucus, the others have gotten over it. I did get some yogart, but have no idea how much to give her. thanks |
I'm not sure how much yogurt to give, but sounds like she got into something. |
My Susie did the same thing and I put a teaspoon in with her dry food. Hope she gets better soon. |
Whenever my babies have upset tummies I mix some canned pumpkin in their food and it works wonders! It might be worth a try. Hope they get better soon!! |

Yogurt is good to give. You might start with a couple teaspoons. You can add banana to that which might help. If this continues she needs to go to the vet because dehydration is a concern. |
ok, she had some yogurt, and then I have just given her some pumpkin..she seems to be eating well and drinking well..I just do not understand what is making her have the soft poop for so long, some times it is formed but soft with mucus at the end..and going more often..this sounds awful..but I need to get this stopped..she was bleeding the other day from her mouth, went to the vet and will be getting some double teeth removed..they drew blood for bloodwork..now just waiting for them to call me back with the time for her surgery..but want to get her going normal before any teeth surgery. thanks for all the replies. pooh's mum |
poor baby i hope she gets better soon and all goes well with her surg. |
  :D This morning after the yogurt and some pumpkin I gave her last night, she has a normal poop..:D spoke to the vet, am taking in a stool sample shortly. She is having her surgery on friday, double teeth removed and dew claws removed. Blood work was all ok, now we need the sample done.. The vet asked me if anything had changed in her life. I told her about the friends grandkids being here and so loud and wild. So I guess that would do it. The soft poops began on all of them the day after the company left... grrrrrrr they were only here less then 24 hours:eek:  Just wanted to update those who came to my rescue. :) Will know after the tests. :( pooh\'s mum |
Glad she is feeling better. Yorkies sure have a sensitive tummy, the least little stress does that to both Rocco and Sissy. I hope she does well on her surgery. |
I hope your babies get to feeling better! |
