Car Sickness Remedy Halle gets car sick on long drives. Is there anything you've found that works. I've noticed she'll climb down out of the Lookoput chair and get on the the car seat where she seems more comfortable. When she is up high and looks out the back she looks queezy and ultimately she throws up. I've tried ginger snaps, didn't work. What does work? |
the ginger snaps do work give them about 1/2 hour to an hour before your leaving...I give JJ 3-4 of them...he always threw up on the way to shows...this time he didnt using the ginger snaps. |
My groomer suggested ginger snaps too for Pixie whe gets car sick. Do you just buy ginger snap cookies at the grocery store? |
Some dogs do better when they can't see out the windows. Maybe it would be better for your baby to ride down on the seat, with her harness clipped to the seatbelt, or on the floor in a hard carrier? Poor baby! |
I would put the seat down lower so he/she couldn't look out the window and get motion sickness. |
you can try benedryl (1mg per one pound) 30 minutes before traveling and I also know that Dramamine can work too. Not sure on the dosage for that one though since I've never used. We have used a homeopathic rememdy before with some success but can't remember the exact name but the brand is Apothecary. Pet shops that sell raw and higher end diets usually care this line. |
