I knew it was coming before long :( I posted here not to long ago http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=102147 Well, tomorrow I was supposed to go get my grandmother and we were going to go out and have a little day to ourselves and I was going to get the stuff to color her hair for her and I had called her earlier to remind her to get up early and everything was . Even though, she had said that this morning while she was getting ready to go see her cardiologist Baby had threw up 2 times and that she was now acting like it was hard for her to walk. Well, around 5 minutes ago she called me back hysterical saying she couldn't go with me tomorrow because she was going to have to take Baby to the vet and have her put down :(. She said soon after she got off the phone with me she layed down in the floor with Baby and she threw up 2 more times then when she let her out to potty she would squat to pee and wasn't able to so she brought her back in and she layed down and now she's just laying there sort of lethargic. Of course, I told her I was coming over anyway and I was going with her to the vet because she didn't need to go by herself. I'm just scared she isn't going to make it through the night and I know my grandmother isn't going to sleep at all. I feel so bad for her, she has so much love for her dog and has always been that way. Please keep her in your prayers and thoughts while going through such a hard time, I really feel for her. I'll really worry about her after she no longer has a companion, she's always had a dog. |
I am sorry to hear about Baby, Its great that you are there supporting your grandmother through her difficult time with her furbaby. My prayers are with you, your grandmother and Baby. :hands: :hands: :hands: |

Prayers on coming your way. |
Prayers for your Grandmother at this most difficult time. To loose a precious pet at any age is so hard but I can truely understand where your Grandmother is coming from on getting another. After we lost our Cassie I questioned myself in our getting another, our daughter so lovingly assured us that if anything happened to us that we would never have to worry cause she would definately be with her. Two years ago on the ninth of Dec. Baby Blessing came into our life, Ohhhhhhhhhhhh, what a blessing she is. She has helped us so much, we had so much love for Cassie.......after Baby Blessing came into our lives then Dollie Dae. Our daughter flew to Indianapolis in Oct. to get our Prairie Bea from a very special breeder Jill Brooks (here at YT). I do hope she will consider another. maybe one that is not a puppy would be better due to your Grandmothers health. but it would be soooooo much company for her and also comfort beyond words. Your post here reminded me of our situation two years ago. I told our daughter we should rename ours Ennie, Meenie,Minie, and one moe and she said, " nope Mom no Moe, three I agreed to but no moe." Prayers for your Grandmother, I am glad though that she realizes the need of Baby and putting her needs first. I have always regretted that I didn't have a vet available to help, that was one of the longest nights of my life, God helped me to deal with what was, I relyed on HIS strength the whole night long, that is another instance in my life that has drawn me closer to the Lord. God is with us always and my prayer your Grandmother will feel this too. Please pm me or post to let us know how she is doing. Patti and Jack Prairie Bea, Dollie Dae and Baby Blessing |
Thanks so much everyone, it's greatly appreciated... I can't even explain how much. She called me around 11 and said she called the vet but the vet couldn't get her in until 1:45. I'm about to leave to go down there and sit with her until it's time to take her to the vet then I'm going to help her, I don't really know how she would've done it alone considering Baby is a very big dog so. When I talked to her she said Baby had lots of white pus coming out of her eyes . I'm just really glad she made it through the night, I don't know what my grandmother would've done if she didn't. |
prayers coming for your grandmother. |
Well, as soon as I got to my mom's house my grandma was getting ready and I almost got sick to my stomach and felt so much heartache when I saw Baby. You could just tell... her breathing was odd, there was an odd amount of white pus coming out of her eyes and she could BARELY get up and walk around... it was obvious it was hard for her to carry her back end around. My grandmother said she finally peed after she got off the phone with me but she still hadn't pooped. She passed so peacefully even though my grandmother took it so hard and we brought her back home with us and buried her in the back yard along with all of her toys and leash and collar. I'm still worried about my grandmother and being so lonely without her best friend but she'll be alright, I've tried to hold back so many tears today that I've kept a headache. These furbutts get the best of us every time no matter the situation. Thanks everyone so much for your thoughts and prayers through such a trying time, it really means a lot. |
Oh you poor honey. BIG HUGS! |
