Bumbs..help?? So Bella had her spay surgery on October 22nd and on Monday she has her sutures/stitches taken out. Well since then she has these bumps under the skin by the incision line and I have no clue what they are. Before her surgery her stomach was soft and smooth and now she has these weird bumps. Anyone know what this is or have any experience with this condition?? |
I think I have heard it is something to do with the dissolvable stitches inside. I don't think it is a big problem but maybe the vet will want you to do something for it. I know others on here will know more. I would let the vet know. |
Now I am really starting to wonder. I just noticed Ellie has hard lumps under her incision too. I need to leave the vet a voice mail about something else today or tomorrow, so I will tell her then and have her call me if there's a problem. |

Don't worry too much , it will be ok as soon of her inside will be healed . When Jade was spayed she had bumps and now they are gone . Inside is always a little longer to heal than outside |
It is strange. It is good to know that others have had to deal with it though. It is a bit concerning for us though. We are on high alert because Ellie wan't spayed until six-years-old (two weeks ago) and she started getting mammary lumps (which appear to be cysts), so any bumps make me edgy. |
Lucy has the same thing. All of her stitches were inside dissovable and the vet said the bumps would go away in a couple of months... |
I just talked to Ellie's vet. She said the hard bumps under the incision are from the internal sutures and it is okay. |
Its totally normal, they all have them and they disappear within a couple of months. |
